The Multicultural, Awareness, Engagement Collaborative (MAEC) is planning an inaugural MLK Day Program. It will be a half-day program on January 20th 9am-1:15pm with keynote speakers and a breakout session. We are seeking student volunteers who can receive credit towards their service learning requirement. Student volunteers would be welcome to stay for the entire program to gain information and the why behind the program.
The theme for this event is food insecurity and health implications. Students will learn about causes of food insecurity, the current state of food insecurity here locally in Greenville, and how to maintain a healthy diet/lifestyle despite the challenges of food insecurity
