Interfaith Subcommittee

Who We Are

The purpose of the interfaith subcommittee is to advocate for and educate others about the role of religion and spirituality in healthcare education and delivery. Our mission is to educate and equip future physicans with the knowledge and tools to integrate a patient's relgious vaulves and belives into their care, while promoting respect adn inclusion of all religious faiths at USC SOMG.

What We Do

Our educational focus includes hosting events educating students on how to inquire about and prescribe medications in line with patients' dietary restrictions, as one example. 

Our advocacy focus includes providing USC SOMG students and faculty with practical religious inclusivity measures inlcuding providing to go boxes for those who are fasting, and educational resources on the various religious diets and what local restaurants cater to them.
