Who We Are

On behalf of the Student Advocates Dedicated to Inclusive Excellence (SADIE), we would like to welcome you to the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville! At USCSOM Greenville, we are committed to fostering an environment where students from all backgrounds feel welcomed and valued throughout their experiences. We firmly believe that each student brings a unique perspective that contributes to the richness of the learning environment, and we value the various racial, ethnic, gender, geographic, and socioeconomic backgrounds that diversify our student body. USCSOM Greenville offers an innovative and expanding curriculum that encompasses key themes that educate and train learners to deliver culturally competent care. Accordingly, we offer a myriad of opportunities to learn about and engage with diverse populations in the Greenville community. What We Do

The Student Advocates Dedicated to Inclusive Excellence (SADIE) exists as a body of welcoming students, faculty and staff committed to: advancing the integration of diversity and inclusion within the medical school’s curriculum; and fostering an environment for meaningful discussions centered on inclusive excellence at USC School of Medicine Greenville. The students serving on this committee will be utilized as a conduit for medical students of any race, creed, ethnic background, ability, sexual orientation or gender identity to express themselves in a safe and supportive setting.
