Volunteer EMT for a local church medical team (EMT credit and IPM service learning approved).
Responsibilities include:
- Providing EMT services
- Establishing a visible and welcoming safety presence (attire must indicate your role as an EMT)
- Maintaining medical kits and gear
Respondents must include the following for approval:
- The church name where you volunteered
- Contact Information for someone from the church who can verify your hours with CMDA
Instructions for Submission:
- Perform a one-time registration for the "EMT - Local Church Medical Team” opportunity in Campus Connect
- Each time you volunteer with your church medical team, go to the “Track Hours” tab and fill out the information as follows:
- Hours in reference to an opportunity you responded to on this site: Select “Yes”
- Select “EMT - Local Church Medical Team” from the dropdown
- Lifestyle Medicine pillar: Select "Social Connection”
- IPM Service Learning Approved: Select “Yes”
- Title: Select “Medical Student”
- Organization volunteered for: Type in either “CMDA" or your local church name
- Social Determinant of Health: Select “Healthcare Access and Quality”
- Fill out the date and hours worked (default is 2 hours)
- User Groups: Select the IPM user group
- Description: I volunteered with [Local Church Name] as an EMT with the medical team. Responsibilities include providing EMT services, establishing a visible and welcoming safety presence, and maintaining medical kits and gear. [Contact Name] at [Email Address] can verify my hours.
